I am quite possibly the world's WORST blogger.  Since the "invention" of Facebook and the ease in which it is to network and share portfolio samples, I've kind of left my wonderful blog by the wayside.  :(

But, I'm going to try my hardest to catch up on sessions I've done recently and be better about keeping it current.

Getting Personal | {Clarksville, TN/Ft. Campbell Newborn & Child Photographer}

I don't often share posts about my personal life or photos of my children on the blog.  But, I know how it is to be curious about the person you're entrusting to capture your life long images.  So, this blog post is all about getting personal.  :)

I took time off from photographing and blogging to get reacquainted with my family.   These younger years are so precious, and I didn't want to miss too much.  You see, I have three children 5 and under and now have one more on the way due in just over a month!  Yes, 4 children in 5 years!  No, I'm not crazy.  :)  Our lives are full of joy, laughter, tears, and booboos.  There's never a dull moment, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

You can ask my mom and she will be the first to tell you I spend more time photographing your children and your family and not enough time trying to photograph my own.  The honest truth to that is my children are my WORST customers.  There's this thing among my peers called "PCS" or Photographer's Child Syndrome.  All my children with the exception of my oldest daughter suffer from this "syndrome."   Like I said, never a dull moment!

So, the day I decided to pull out my camera and drag my kids out on location was a day I felt "inspired."  Here's a peek into the life of my kids.  :)

It was bitter sweet to see how big this little guy had gotten.  I had the pleasure of photographing him at all the major milestones - newborn, 6 months, and one year.  He sure has grown into quite the handsome little fella, hasn't he?

This beautiful little girl was a perfect angel and pleasure to photograph.  I fell in love with her the moment I saw her and wanted to keep her here with me.  :)

This little lady is quite possibly one of the cutest little dolls to ever grace the front of my camera.  She had spunk, she had attitude, and she had posing under control.  She was tons of fun to capture, and the camera seemed to love her as well.

It seems I've fallen off the face of the blogosphere after my blog was hacked almost a year ago. Well, I'm FINALLY back in the groove of things and will be adding some recent work over the last year and announcing some fun new changes for Jamie Lynn Photography in the near future. :)

I've missed blogging, and while Facebook is a great networking tool, it just isn't the same. I can't wait to share what I've been up to and what's to come!

I'll leave you with a recent photo taken of my kiddos.  There's a reason why people pay good money to have someone else photograph their children - they make the WORST customers!  :)  But, I love the way their personalities shine in this picture and view it with "mommy goggles" just the same.

It is always an honor to get to see parents who are so in love with their baby. Little {S} is one lucky fella! The first grandchild on both sides of the family, I think it's safe to say this little guy will not be hurting for someone to love and spoil him.

Mr. {S} was such a good little baby, even if he did spray me a smidge! *tee hee* Hazards of the job, right? Whatever gets me the shot is what I say!

I look forward to watching you grow over the next year!







And, one quick one of the new family. It should seriously be a crime to look this beautiful so soon after giving birth. Not even a dark circle under the eyes - for either of them!

Who doesn't like the pureness of a brand new babe? The smell, the feel, the look. *sigh* There's just something about a brand new baby that makes people melt.

This little dude was no exception. He has the prettiest lips (or, should I say handsome??) and chubbiest cheeks! And, he was so good and laid back for his session. Makes a photographer happy!

Congratulations {P} family. I hope you enjoy every single second you get to spend with your little man, Mr. {P}. Thank you for your sacrifice you make for our country's freedoms.

This sweet little guy came to see me a few hours ago, and it was love at first sight. *sigh* All the little babies coming to see me recently make a person have some serious baby fever - and then I remember I have three of my own and quickly get over it! LOL

Big Brother {E} is your typical big brother - curious and generally uninterested. *snicker* But, he did indulge us for a few pictures with his new little brother. And, little brother was the perfect angel the entire time. :) Love little guys like that. It makes my job so easy!

I got to play with the most adorable little peanut today! He was on his best behavior and was the perfect example of what a newborn model should be. I know I've mentioned it before, but it is SO HARD not to squish babies like him up and just love all over them. It takes great self-control! He was just too precious with perfect skin, beautiful head of hair, and the long, dark lashes that get my heart every time. *sigh*

Mom and Dad have been waiting the arrival of these two little guys for more than the normal nine months. They've been anticipating their family for three years. I am truly blessed to have been allowed the honor of celebrating first the anticipation (maternity) and now the arrival of the little fellas. I can't wait to watch them grow over the next year.

There will be plenty of stories to be told about today's session. And, plenty of laundry, too! :)

You have two precious and beautiful (you can still call boys beautiful when they're newborns...later on it'll be handsome) young men. I hope you enjoy this small peek into our session. Thanks for letting me take up so much of your time and allowing me to rearrange your furniture. :)

It's hard to believe today was this little man's due date. At 11 days old, Mr. {W} is already showing signs of his own personality. He knows what he likes and he knows what he doesn't! But, seriously, he was a super precious little man that had a day full of firsts during his session. :) The biggest of which - he is now cordless!

I had fun today, Mr. {W}, watching you keep your mommy and Bella on their toes. I'm sure your days to come will only be more full of those fun moments. I can't wait to see how much you grow over the next three months. :)

When you become a parent, you never realize how much you can love another person until the moment you hold your baby in your arms for the first time. It gives meaning to the saying "love at first sight."

I am so excited for this little family and their newest addition - a son! :) His beautiful mommy came to see me just over three weeks ago, and little {S} FINALLY made his debut into the world a few days after his due date.
